Access shared folders
You can access shared folders
and find the ones you want in the following
ways:
Access shared folders from
Network Magic
Access shared folders from
the Microsoft Windows desktop
Access shared folders from Network Magic
- Click Shared Folders.
- In the list of computers
with shared folders, click the folder you want.
Network Magic opens Windows Explorer, which lists the folder's files.
- If you want, you can check information about the
shared folder. For information, see Get
details about a shared folder.
- Click the shared folder you want.
Access shared folders from the Microsoft
Windows desktop
This uses an icon that Network Magic
adds to the Microsoft Windows desktop.
- Go to the desktop.
- Do one of the following:
Double-click My Shared Folders.
Right-click My Shared Folders, and then select Open.
Network Magic opens Windows Explorer and displays the shared folders.
Based on how you have set up the Explorer display, Explorer shows shared
folders in one of several different views, including a list view, an icon
view, or a details view.
- Double-click the folder you want.
Tip
Note
You cannot delete My Shared Folders
from the desktop. It is required for Network Magic to run properly. If you
uninstall Network Magic, this deletes My
Shared Folders from the desktop.
